Jacquesson releases single-vineyard champagnes

Champagne Jacquesson has announced the launch of two single-vineyard champagnes from 2002 to global markets.

The 100% Chardonnay-based Dizzy and Avize have been released in France, ahead of a roll out to the house’s 45 global markets, which include Italy, Belgium, Germany, the US, the UK, Australia and Japan.

Accordinng to Jean-Hervé Chiquet, joint owner of the 300,000-bottle per year champagne house, 95% of the 4,684-bottle Dizy and 5,892-bottle Avize have been sold prior to launch.

Both chamagnes were aged in oak for nine months and disgorged in February 2011. They carry an abv of 12% and are priced at €130.

The premier cru Dizzy has an zero dossage, while the grand cru Avize contains 2g per litre.
