Beam appoints emerging markets MD

Beam has created a new management position for emerging markets.

Pryce Greenow has been appointed managing director, emerging markets, South America.

Greenow will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and driving growth opportunities for Beam’s portfolio of brands across “attractive” South American markets.

Phil Baldock, president of Beam’s APSA (Asia-Pacific/South America) region said: “Our business in South America continues to be ripe with long-term opportunity for Jim Beam Bourbon, Teacher’s Scotch Whisky and our other ‘Power Brands’ in the emerging market economies of Brazil, Chile, Argentina and other promising markets as we enhance our route-to-market and step up investment.

“We look forward to benefiting from dedicating Pryce’s strong commercial, marketing and business acumen to further strengthening our growth platform in South America.”

Greenow has been at Beam for eight years in a variety of sales and marketing leadership positions. Greenow has also led business integration projects at Beam, including for the acquisitions of Skinnygirl Cocktails in 2011 and Pinnacle Vodka in 2012.

Greenow will be relocating from Chicago to South America over the next several months. His appointment is effective July 15.
