London Sherry Trail launches

The inaugural London Sherry Trail launched last night.

Organised by The Sherry Institute of Spain, the multi-bar trail highlights the burgeoning Sherry scene in the UK capital.

Each participating bar offers tapas to match their Sherry menu and are running a loyalty card promotion over the two-week period.

To take part in the Sherry Trail, Londoners have to visit one of the participating bars (see list below) to collect a loyalty card, and ask the bar staff to stamp the card for each glass of Sherry drunk.

On achieving a fully stamped card, sherry drinkers will be entered into a prize draw, with the chance of winning books on Sherry, t-shirts, aprons, bottles of Sherry and a trip for two to Jerez, Spain.

Graham Hines, UK Director of The Sherry Institute of Spain, said: “Visiting a variety of bars in an evening is commonplace in Spain and we wanted to bring a little of that tradition to London’s growing number of Sherry bars.”

“The trail lends itself perfectly to sherry, with so many styles of it to enjoy we think Londoners will love trying a different Sherry around the fabulous selection of Sherry bars now available to them, salud!”
