Published:  10 June, 2014

Nicci Stringfellow has been appointed brand ambassador for Brown-Forman's Casa Herradura tequila in the UK.

Her first task is said to be to develop the Casa Herradura ‘lighthouse programme’, targeting key bars, restaurants and hotels with a strong Casa Herradura brand loyalty and understanding across the UK. The programme will include a “brand immersion trip to Casa Herradura in Mexico to experience the tequila way of life”.

Having worked extensively within the bar industry for seven years Mangrove - the UK spirits specialist that handles Casa Herradura in the UK - says Stringfellow is renowned for her knowledge and passion of 100% agave tequila.

She first began bartending at ‘Player’ in London’s Soho, where she worked under the tutelage of Dale Degroff. After wortking with the Match Group, including a stint at Milk & Honey, Stringfellow is said to have gone on to work at some of the best bars in Tokyo and Mumbai.

Brown Forman head of advocacy Nidal Ramini said: "I'm so happy that Nicci has joined the ever expanding BF Advocacy team. With her passion and knowledge for the category combined with the Mangrove team's expertise, I feel that this year will be an outstanding one for our Casa Herradura brands."

Mangrove managing director Nick Gillett, said: “For me Herradura is one of the finest white spirits on the market. At Mangrove we look for brands with character and history, but above all a quality product that we can believe in. Casa Herradura over delivers in every way and I’m delighted that such a respected tequila authority as Nicci is going to be joining our team.”
