Machado has worked for Sogrape since 2001 and until recently has had national responsibility for the Sogrape on-trade business in Portugal. Machado will take over from Matt Douglas who has been with Sogrape UK for four years and leaves the company next month.

Sogrape says its business saw strategic progress in the UK market in 2015 with significant development of the Sandeman and Casa Ferreirinha brands along with the addition of brands to the portfolio, such as Ropiteau Frères from Boisset.

Sogrape UK’s global brands include: Mateus, Sandeman, Casa Ferreirinha, Mouton Cadet, Finca Flichman and McWilliams.
