France: Jeanjean gets sustainable development benchmark

17 July, 2009

Southern French wine producer and négociant, Jeanjean en Languedoc has achieved a sustainable development benchmark.

It is the first company in the Languedoc-Roussillon and the first wine négociant in France to achieve a AFAQ 1000 NR assessment.

The assessment is based on  the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable development.

Sébastien Narjoud, managing director of Jeanjean en Languedoc, said: “This is the only way forward for business today, especially one that produces and markets wine. We want the principles behind sustainable development to be a state of mind within the company, at every level and in everything we do.”
