US: Foster's appoints new wine marketing chief

Foster's Wine Estates has appointed Francesca Schuler as the new chief marketing officer for North America.

Schuler will be responsible for all consumer and trade marketing activities, including public relations, hospitality and brand education.

Schuler began her career at Gallo before  working in brand management for Gap and most recently served as head of marketing for Method Products. While at Method, Schuler helped double the size of the brand.

Foster's Americas managing director Stephen Brauer said: "Francesca is an exceptionally gifted marketer with a strong track record of building consumer-driven brands. Her passion for building lifestyle brands that have a unique and deep connection with their customers fits perfectly with our strategy of building leading brands in leading categories."

Schuler will be based out of Foster's North American headquarters in the Napa Valley.
