Beam Global UK has unveiled this year’s list of rising stars to be accepted onto its online network, Courvoisier The Future 500.

The list, published in a supplement in The Observer features each new member and a mini-profile on the top 100 who showed outstanding promise.

In the drinks category, new members include Chris Withey, director of Crazyblend Cocktails, which has organised parties for the likes of Craig David and Richard Branson. Ed Rigg, managing director of Eager Drinks which launched a range of long-life juices made from 100% premium fruit, is also a new member. Current members include Will Beckett from The Underdog Group and Chris Edwards of Blanch House in Brighton.

Courvoisier brand manager Claire Richards said: “Courvoisier The Future 500 has impacted on the success of the brand in the past 12 months where we see increases in awareness, consideration and most importantly, consumption.

“It gives us a fantastic platform through which to get people talking about our brand, allowing us to engage with some of the UK’s most creative and entrepreneurial people, positioning the brand as one which supports dedication, commitment and success – all of which reflect Courvoisier as a brand. Courvoisier’s marketing investment for 2008 was £11 million and this is set to increase even further as we head into 2009.”

Activity around the network in 2009 will include a members’ launch party in early December for new and existing members, network events, tutored tastings of the Courvoisier range and continued support of member initiatives and collaborations.

In 2009 there will continue to be a focus on promoting the mixability and versatility of Courvoisier.
