British scientists may have found an instant hangover cure, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.

A bloodstream 'cleaner'  that quickly disables poisons could save lives and may provide an instant hangover cure.

A molecule called Bridion has been created by a team from Schering Plough in Lanarkshire. It forms a ring around the unwanted chemical, rendering it ineffective within three minutes - the time it takes the blood to circulate round the body. Both the molecule and the chemical can then be excreted naturally.

Possible future uses of the mechanism could include the speedy removal of alcohol from the bloodstream.
