UK: Five brewers have teamed up to promote British organic beer to the world.

The British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA) is coordinating the move, at Natural and Organic Products Europe, to give international buyers a taste of “the Best of British” including traditional premium ales, bitters and honey beers.

Freeminer, Fuller Smith & Turner, Marston’s Beer Company, St Peter’s Brewery and Shepherd Neame, will promote seven organic, one organic Fairtrade, and one Fairtrade brand.

The beers are already available in many UK supermarkets and several European countries, but now have a new platform.

The new move, in conjunction with British Beer Exports, the export initiative of the BBPA, plans to accelerate this.

Janet Witheridge of the British Beer & Pub Association said:

“We work with members to promote their brands around the world but this is the first time we have exhibited a single category of beer.

“These wonderful and hugely varied beers already have a strong following here in Britain, so we are delighted to be able to showcase them here at the Natural and Organic Products Europe show.”
