Barcelona Brands has launched a Spanish gin that is carbonated. It says: “We mix the wine alcohol distilled and rectified with the juniper and coriander distillate. We lower the alcohol content of the gin to 40.4% abv with the product obtained from the fermentation of the grape juice.” The company goes on: “As traditionally used in cava elaboration, the expedition liquor is mixed with apple, pear and apricot flavours for Sparkling Gin and with raspberry flavour for Sparkling Gin Rosé. This mixture is then added to the prepared gin. It is lightly carbonated and we have the finished product.”
