De Kuyper to sell Mandarine Napoléon
Pagès-Vedrenne Group, part of the French family-owned Iconic Nectars, has announced the acquisition of Mandarine Napoléon liqueur from De Kuyper Royal Distillers.
The acquisition comes into effect at the beginning of April 2026, and will see the liqueur join the likes of Vedrenne Liqueurs & Syrups, Pagès Liqueurs, Salers gentiane, Izarra, Cognac Paulet, Champagne Ivernel, Le Birlou, Gin Le Parfumeur, Vodka Cobalte and others.
“Our commitment is to honour Mandarine Napoléon’s remarkable heritage while opening new opportunities for growth within our ecosystem of craft distilleries and liqueur producers. Thanks to Pagès-Vedrenne’s century‑old mastery of fruit maceration, distillation and extraction, the arrival of this legendary liqueur seamlessly aligns with a legacy built on authenticity, terroir expression and artisanal excellence,” said Amaury and Julien Cointreau, vice presidents of Iconic Nectars Group.
“By joining our group, Mandarine Napoléon will benefit from an environment where innovation and tradition converge to reveal the purest and most expressive flavours. Naturally, this will open the way for meaningful synergies across our distribution networks. We would like to thank De Kuyper Royal Distillers for the work they have done for the brand over the past years,” Amaury and Julien added.
For De Kuyper, the sale will align with the company's strategy to streamline its portfolio and concentrate on its core business.
Leo Evers, chief executive of De Kuyper Royal Distillers, said: "While we are incredibly proud of Mandarine Napoléon’s journey under our stewardship, this decision aligns with our ongoing strategy to sharpen our focus on our core business: growing the global cocktail category through our De Kuyper and Peach liqueurs and innovative premixed cocktail solutions. When deciding on the future of this iconic brand, it was essential for us to find exactly the right partner. With Pagès-Vedrenne, a fellow family-owned business that shares our values, we are highly confident we have found the perfect new home to carry Mandarine Napoléon’s legacy forward."
The agreement currently remains subject to final closing conditions.
