AB InBev launches Stella cider

UK: AB InBev has launched a cider under the Stella Artois name. Stella Artois Cidre will be available from easter 2011 in 568ml bottles and 440ml cans and the company suggests serving the product over ice.

Dirk Seldeslachts, head of Stella Artois Cidre product development said: “Stella Artois Cidre is a premium-crafted Belgian cider and is made from high quality apples which are bursting with flavour. They are fermented in Belgium and imported to the UK.

“Stella Artois Cidre has been through rigorous taste development and we are confident we have a product that consumers will love.”

Speaking at the launch, Stuart MacFarlane, president, AB InBev UK said: “This new addition widens the footprint of the Stella Artois superior premium drinking experience and further demonstrates our commitment to innovation and investment in the Stella Artois brand.”

The launch follows that of Stella Artois 4%, Stella Black and Beck's Vier. Stella Artois Cidre is 4.5% abv.
