Linton Park launches Rhino range

South African winery Linton Park has announced the launch of The Rhino of Linton Park range.

The winery, which is located in the Wellington Valley in the Western Cape, will donate 10% of net profits from the range to Save the Rhino International.

Launching to global markets, The Rhino of Linton Park range includes an entry-level red (12.5% abv), white (11.5% abv) and rosé wine (11.5% abv) priced at £5.99 and seven single-grape varietals at £6.99.

The range will focus on the off-trade, with Linton Park expecting six-bottle case volume sales to reach six figures in the brand’s first year.

In response to questions about the Rhino range’s off-trade focus, Neil Kelsall of Linton Park Wines said: “We’re making the leap into the off-trade because we want to have more volume."

The brand is in the process of achieving fair trade accreditation. According to Linton Park, its wines are produced, bottled and packaged in South Africa, meaning more money remains with the source company.

Linton Park has launched the range in Holland and is looking for distributors in the UK.
