Wemyss Malts releases five-malt range
Edinburgh whisky bottler Wemyss Malts has launched a five-expression range of blended and single cask, single malts; themed around the taste and aroma of each whisky.
The new bottles, which are 70cl and have an abv of 46%, will be available in Europe and Asia.
The range comprises: Driftwood (€67), a 15-year old from the Bunnahabhain distillery, Islay; Wild Berry Spice (€65.5), a 25-year old from the Miltonduff distillery, Speyside; Fresh Fruit Sorbet (€67), a 15-year old from the Clynelish distillery, Highlands; Strawberry Ganache (€98), a 21-year old from the Glen Scotia distillery, Campbeltown; Lemon Sorbet (€65), a 14-year old from the Auchentoshan distillery, Lowlands.
By headlining with each expression’s flavours and aroma, Wemyss Malts said it wants to make the range more accessible to consumers.
Specialist whisky stores and bars have been targeted in its key markets, which include France, Germany, England, Scotland, Taiwan and Australia.
