SABMiller disposes of Tsogo Sun

SABMiller plc announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, SABSA Holdings Limited, has now disposed of its entire shareholding in Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited (Tsogo Sun).

Tsogo Sun is a gaming, hotel and entertainment business that generated income of ZAR10,767m for the year to March 2014. 

SABMiller plc is the world’s second largest brewing company and the leading or number two brewer in 95% of the markets where it operates. It is one of the world’s largest bottlers of Coca-Cola drinks and it produces a portfolio of wholly-owned soft drinks brands.

The group’s brand portfolio includes leading local brands such as:Aguila (Colombia), Castle (South Africa), Miller Lite (US), Snow (China), Victoria Bitter (Australia) and Tyskie (Poland) as well as global brands such as Pilsner Urquell, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Miller Genuine Draft and Grolsch. 

In the year ended March 31 2014, the group sold 318 million hectolitres of lager, soft drinks and other alcoholic beverages, generating group net producer revenue of US$26,719m.

SABMiller's representatives Malcolm Wyman, Jamie Wilson, John Davidson and Tsogo Sun's deputy chairman, Jabu Mabuza, resigned from the Tsogo Sun board on 28 August 2014. 

SABMiller no longer holds any ordinary shares in Tsogo Sun.
