Simpsons Wine prepares second vineyard site

The Simpsons Wine Estate is starting on ‘phase two’ of its sparkling wine development by preparing its second vineyard site for plantation in mid May.

The estate in Barham, Kent is also awaiting news about DEFRA grant funding in order to begin the creation of a ‘state-of-the-art’ winery in Kent, with a view to a launch in September.

Charles Simpson, co-owner, is looking forward to being back in the UK to create the new range.  He said: “We will be looking to use a higher proportion of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to create elegant, more complex Blanc de Noirs, as that is where our passion lies.”

The estate team said it is also starting to unveil an updated branding and logo for Simpsons Wine Estate.
