Asahi UK launches Peroni Ambra

Asahi UK has expanded Peroni’s range with the introduction of Peroni Ambra, which combines a bitter and fragrant flavour inspired by the Italian aperitivo.

According to Peroni, the classic Italian aperitivo is becoming more popular in the UK and Ambra uses a combination of Peroni with Chinotto, a rare Italian citrus fruit grown in north west Italy.

It is suggested the new beer is served in a tumbler, over ice and garnished with an orange peel twist.

Giuseppe Gallo, an expert on vermouth and amaro, said: “The beer cocktail is being taken to a new level by Peroni Nastro Azzurro, who continually work with master mixologists to create sophisticated and intriguing infusions.

“Top mixologists around the world have been embracing bitter flavours for years – and now consumers are starting to discover it too.”

To celebrate the launch of Peroni Ambra, Peroni has partnered with Somerset House in London and will be opening ‘Summer House Terrace’ to the public on Saturday April 1.

Summer House Terrace will be open for six months until the end of September to offer the public a chance to try Peroni Ambra.
