Lowlander creates first ever IPA genever

Botanical brewer Lowlander Beer has launched a genever distilled from its Lowlander I.P.A. – the first of its kind.

In the 17th century, when ships full of exotic herbs and were shipped to Amsterdam, the Dutch started to distil liqueurs and genever at a large-scale. This is also an important part of Dutch brewing history: the “Lowlanders”started to brew beers with botanicals.

Lowlander has partnered with Wynand Fockink, the oldest-working liqueur and genever distillery in the Netherlands.

The limited edition I.P.A. gin will be available in the planned Lowlander webshop from the end of May in a 700ml bottle as well as a gift pack with 200ml I.P.A. genever, two bottles of Lowlander I.P.A., a beer- and traditional tulip glass.
