P(our) Symposium moves to London with 'Understanding' theme

Not-for-profit organisation P(our) has announced that ‘Understanding’ will be the topic of this year’s Symposium, held in London on 24 June.

Founded by Alex Kratena, Monica Berg, Simone Caporale, Ryan Chetiyawardana, Jim Meehan, Joerg Meyer and Xavier Padovani in 2016, P(our) acts as global platform for the development of the bar industry.

This year its flagship Symposium event will be held in London for the first time at Village Underground and comprise of a series of curated talks and collaborations hosted by international drinks professionals, activists, thinkers and journalists. 

“We’re excited to bring to the fore this year’s theme of ‘Understanding’, looking at it from different perspectives – where it comes from, why it’s important, where more is needed and how it can be built,” said co-founder Monica Berg.

Speakers for this year’s event include; Isabella Dalla Ragione, agronomist and expert on biodiversity; Brigitte Sossou Perenyi, documentary producer and author and bartender Jeffrey Morgenthaler. 

The immersive experience will showcase collaborations across the drinks industry and the full line-up of speakers and events will be announced closer to the time, all of which will be live streamed across the world.

Tickets to the Symposium are free and will be released in April through an application process that prioritises the drinks community and operates on a first come first server basis. The event will welcome 300 participants.
