Black Cow reduces carbon footprint with new bottle design

Black Cow has launched a new bottle design which will be introduced to markets throughout 2020 to reduce its price point and carbon footprint.

The new bottle features a slimmer, taller and tapered shape and a pilfer- proof cap which allows for the entire bottle to be recycled more easily.

Allied Glass is the manufacturer of the bottle, which brings full production to the UK to allow the brand to reduce its carbon footprint.

The reduced manufacturing cost also means that the off-trade RRP has fallen to £25.

Paul Archard, co-founder of Black Cow, said: “Bringing all aspects of Black Cow’s production to the UK is a huge step for us, and one we’re really proud of, so that we can support UK trade in everything we do.”

Black Cow was founded in 2012 and is the only vodka made entirely from whey from grass-grazed cow’s milk left over from the cheese-making process.

This is then fermented to convert the milk sugars into alcohol which is then distilled, blended and filtered through coconut-shell charcoal to make the vodka.
