Swift Soho enters 10th year with new menu

This November, London cocktail bar Swift Soho is launching its latest cocktail menu titled Present, celebrating the past nine years and looking ahead to the next decade.

On 26 November, Swift Soho will enter its tenth year, as the new menu builds on years of research and creativity.

“Having helped guide Swift through the past nine years, I'm acutely aware of its evolution. This menu has been created to both celebrate our heritage, our dedication to a distinctly London style of classic cocktail full of fresh, homemade ingredients, our love of hospitality and the skill of bartending as well as bridging the gap between past and future,” said managing director Coral Anderson.

“Revisiting our now encyclopedic catalogue of drinks has allowed us to really consider other aspects of the guest experience. The menus have been designed with the guest in mind, what does a guest at our upstairs bar need from a menu? Can we extend the sensory experience through other senses like touch through our menus? These menus are laying the groundwork for the next year and decade ahead, as we use this present moment to consider the past and develop the future,” Anderson added.

Split into four sections, Bright, Delicate, Rich and Stiff, each category features five cocktails, including alcohol free serves.

Highlights of the menu include Kew Gardens in the Bright section, combining Gin Mare, basil, cucumber, lime and prosecco.

In Delicate, Destination Tokyo is created with Hatozaki Japanese whisky, Havana 3 rum, coconut, pandan, rice milk and genmaicha tea.

Rich offers Swift’s classic Irish Coffee, as well as serves such as Praline Flip, made with Swift Spiced Rum, stout, hazelnut and egg.

Stiff focuses on spirit-forward serves with cocktails including White Water, combining Monkey Shoulder and Ardbeg 10 scotch whiskies with coconut falernum and banana.

The menu has been designed around a three-line motif referencing the swift bird’s split tail, and the trio of Swift bars.
