Prof Green and Calabrese to open Ink

UK music artist Stephen Manderson, aka Professor Green, has joined forces with London’s cocktail and club entrepreneur, Gerry Calabrese to launch Ink in London's Leicester Square next month (September).

Described as “an East End Club in the heart of the West End”, Ink is open seven days a week from 6pm-3am and offers the best in music, food and drink under one very unique roof”.

“East London boys” Manderson, Calabrese and brother Jon Calabrese (sons of bar legend, Salvatore Calabrese), are said to “bring Hoxton Square to Leicester Square”.

They say: “Ink encapsulates the attitude of the East End tattoo parlours that the boys so often frequent”.

Bringing together tattoo artists Nikole Lowe and Ibiza’s Neil Ahern of Inkadelic fame, the masters of their craft contribute their designs as artwork displayed on the walls alongside graffiti murals and neon sculptures at the 5th Floor Leicester square venue that has been created by Dimension Interiors.

With a seasonal cocktail list influenced by Calabrese’s Hoxton Pony Club, the cocktails are said to be created from the UK’s freshest, locally sourced produce, featuring homemade syrups and unique recipes.

The press release gushes: “Serving food platters to share, there is something for everyone, including bar snacks reminiscent of a UK tapas selection. The music is set to please all offering a real mix of rock and roll and urban tracks and the venue will see sets from top DJ’s and performers from across the UK music scene.

“Guests are sure to arrive in style to the Leicester Square venue as Uber Cars offer all Ink partygoers a code providing them with discounted journeys. With the masters of music, clubs and cocktails working in collaboration, the successful East London entrepreneurs have created something truly unique in the heart of London’s West End,” it claims.
