Meantime links its beer with Brompton bikes

Meantime, the craft brewer, has linked with the iconic folding bicycle maker, Brompton, to launch a new limited edition lager.

The cycle firm has also made a Meantime-inspired bike.

Both the beer and the bike are made in London and both are claimed to take six weeks to make.

Brompton Lager is part of the brewer’s 'Make Time for It' campaign and it is challenging other craftsmen to create something special over a six-week period.

Meantime marketing director Rich Myers said: “From day one, time has been at the heart of Meantime. We’re based in Greenwich, the universal home of time, it’s in our name, but most importantly it’s in our beer.

“Brompton Bikes are an iconic London brand and their passion for their craft is akin to our own. Challenging them to create a bespoke Brompton-Meantime bike in the same time it takes us to brew a Brompton beer gives us a chance to celebrate all things craft and champion one of our core beliefs that time is as important as any other ingredient we use.

"The lager is made with a mash of Hersbrucker and Hallertau German hops which the brewer said gives dry spice and fruit, with the addition of the American Liberty hops providing floral aromas.”
