BrewDog launches new spirits range LoneWolf

BrewDog has launched a new spirits range called LoneWolf which will be available in all BrewDog bars and online.

The new distillery in Scotland has already produced vodka and gin for the initial launch but will expand its range to produce whisky and other spirits in the future.

Doug Bairner, managing director of LoneWolf said: “Our new purpose-built facility takes craft distillation to new levels. The huge amount of copper contact that our stills and columns give to our spirit delivers unparalleled quality.

“To create a spirit that is pure of bloodline, you need to truly start from scratch, so LoneWolf Vodka and LoneWolf Gin is created entirely under one roof. Every stage is owned and crafted in our Scottish distillery. “

LoneWolf Vodka is distilled four times and filtered while LoneWolf Gin is unfiltered and the brand is set to launch two new soft drinks to accompany the spirits.

The brand will release its own line of tonic and soda later this year which will be designed to compliment its spirits.

Bairner added: “When three-quarters of the most popular pour for gin and vodka is made up of tonic, we can’t understand why no other spirits brands have developed dedicated mixers.

“Our mixers accentuate the unique flavour profile of our spirits – allowing us another dimension of control to deliver the best possible drinking experience.”

The complete LoneWolf range is available to buy online at £32.00 for 700ml bottles.

Steven Kersley, LoneWolf's head distiller, added: “For too long consumers have been told that vodka that has been filtered multiple times is a sign of quality.

“Filtering is not distilling, it’s just a lazy way of making a characterless spirit. Also, clarity of gin when poured over ice is not an indicator of quality.

“We know that the norm is to maintain clarity at all costs, but that’s purely for aesthetic reasons and we’re not prepared to compromise on flavour, ever. We will protect the quality of our spirits above all else.”
