Diageo says new HQ search is "premature"

Diageo has said it would be "premature to speculate" over rumours it is looking to relocate its global headquarters from Park Royal to a more central, west London location.

According to Property Week, Diageo instructed investment management company JLL, to explore possible locations for a new HQ of around 155,000 sq ft in London.

In response to this, a Diageo statement read: "We regularly review our property portfolio to ensure it is managed efficiently and meeting the needs of our business, but it would be premature to speculate about potential moves.”

Diageo’s current HQ in Park Royal, near Wembley in north west London, was originally a Guinness brewery until Diageo transferred its production to Dublin in 2005.

Diageo's international portfolio includes brands such as Smirnoff, Guinness, Johnnie Walker Gordon's Gin, Haig Whisky and Tanqueray.
