Scarfes Bar launches new music icons cocktail menu

Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London has launched a new cocktail menu inspired by legendary musicians spanning the past 100 years. 

The menu, A Journey through the great musical genres inspires by the iconic caricatures of Gerald Scarfe, comes in the form of an interactive stage with iconic musicians animated in the style of Scarfe, from which the bar gets its name.

Each of the famous musicians has two cocktails paired with them, which have been created to reflect the genre of each artist from Soul to Funk.

This menu is the first under head bartender Yann Bouvignies and bars director Martin Siska, who won Bar Manager of the Year at CLASS Bar Awards 2018. 

There are 18 cocktails on the new menu, which will be available to purchase from the bar from April and here are some examples of the serves on offer:

SOUL


Aretha Franklin - Memphis Punch


Like the music of her later years, this cocktail is described as an ‘orchestra of high-energy flavours’, made with Maker’s Mark Scarfes Select, a clarified milk punch and grilled corn.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scarfes Issue


A savoury and vegetal cobbler has been created for The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Ituses Glenfiddich 15yo, carrot, watermelon and cynar.

Bob Marley - No Booze No Cry


Reggae legend, Bob Marley has No Booze No Cry named in his honourThe non-alcoholic cocktail is made with a 0% beer, a homemade vermouth, raspberry and sandalwood and Lucky Saint.
