Pee-controlled video game makes splash

The world’s first pee-controlled video game has been launched, making a splash in south London bar Exhibit.

Creator Captive Media has positioned screens above urinals in the bar’s gentlemen’s toilets so men can play computer games while using the facilities.

In one of the games players can guide an on-screen character down a ski slope by aiming at a target marked in the centre of the urinal.

The game ends when the player stops peeing, so the longer the pee, the longer the game and the more points scored.

According to Captive Media, the game’s trial at Ta Bouche bar in Cambridge saw sales increase because the monitors also screen promotional ads as a person approaches the urinal.

Ta Bouche staff also reported the units improved the hygiene and cleanliness of its facilities.
